We are sailing on the Galaxy out of San Juan on 2/27/04. Can't wait. Does the Galaxy have a topless deck? We sailed on the Millienum last summer around Europe. There topless deck was a lot of fun, just wish they had some "relief" from the sun when you need it, but I'm not complaining. What are the lounges like on the Galaxy, sexy dress, etc.? We are staying at the Wyndham El San Juan the Saturday after we get into port. Anyone know anything about it? Thanks.
Monique; We are also registered on the Galaxy sailing Feb-27. As well, we were on the Millenium out of Barcelona last June-27. I haven't noticed any parties sponsored by this web host like cruisecritic.com has. We have registered for their party on board. We are looking forward to this cruise and getting into some warm weather.

Sounds like we are on the same cruise schedule. Think we will reconize each other, such few people on these boats you know!!! What is the cruisecritic.com party? Is this the party that you registered for and exactly what is it? We are a "young" 40's couple. What about you? Would we have seen you on the topless deck on the Millenium? Maybe we will reconize each other, who knows. We too are looking forward to warm weather.
Monique, it does sound like we're on the same schedule. Have you done any other cruises? We probably passed each other many times on the ship and during excursions, but, with over 2,000 guests on board.....(although I never felt like it was crowded on board). We didn't go up to the topless deck. My wife & I are a young early 50's couple, we did that experience in Jamaica (twice) a number of years ago.
Cruisecritic.com hosts a "get acquianted" party on board for those people who have been communicating through their boards. If you go to their web site and go to Celebrity - Connections" (you have to register and sign in), you can sign up for the party. There has to be 25 people signed up in orf\rder to have a party. We went to the one on the Millenium. It was nice to meet the people we had been communicating with for a few months. You need your booking number in order to register for the party. There is a board on that site "Galaxy - Feb 27/04" for those signed up for the cruise. Check it out if you get a chance.
We too will be on the Galaxy on 2/27. Away from the kids and away from home, I too may try the topless deck. I, like Monique, will probably need some sun "relief". Are there any umbrellas on this deck? I won't be hard to reconize, snow white boobs! Hope I am not the only one there. Everyone have fun.
Kaleigh, have you checked out the cruise critic website? It also has a board for messages and there is one for the Feb-27 Galaxy cruise. We also have 12 people signed up for the cruise critic "get acquainted" party. We need 25 people signed up for them to hold the party. Go over to cruisecritic.com and under "Roll Calls" select "Celebrity - Connections" and you will see where the link is to register for the party.
See you on board.

(Another couple snow-white people from the north)
Hi, Kaleigh. Thanks for the invitation but the only way I'll ever pick up colour is if the freckles run in together. I'm a redhead. In Jamaica I learned that the trick to not getting burned isn't in how high an SPF you use, but in how often you put it on. A friend took charge of my 'tan' and had me putting it on so often I began to slide off the lounge chair and I couldn't keep my legs crossed! But I didn't get burned and I have learned to be very careful. Some parts are much more sensitive than others.....
We have not signed up for the party yet, we need too. Not to worry, I too am a redhead (even though a "little" of my red comes from a bottle!!!!). I do tan, but I also know the value of sunscreen (especially on the "sensitive" parts). I do not get the chance to "expose" myself at home, and want to take advantage of this luxury. Like I said, bring lots of sunscreen and join us. If you slide out of the lounge chair my hubby will be glad to help you up!! It will be time to cruise before you know it. What about you Monique!!!!!
we just returned on jan. 23 on the galaxy, it has a great top less deck its the highest deck it's a bit windy up there. there are 2 formal nights suites jackets, long dresses
in margaritra island the jeep tour macanao four wheel drive explorer is the best all the rum and beer you can drink while going off road, and sun tanning for a hour on the beach, in babados try the scenic bike tour, and island drive, it's great about 2miles up .
and 6 miles down to the alantic ocean side hope this helps ed
Well We have a little problem,
I have no problem doing that but
I only wear trunks,While on my cruise
Last year I was in the hot tub and
took off the trunks and had about
10 visitors come sit with me,all
ladies, I asked for them to take off
Their Tops.all talkers.
On top, you are quite the man!!! Are you going on the 2/27 cruise out of San Juan. I hope you are? I have been on several cruises, but I have never seen or experienced anything what you described, hope to this time. I am very discrete on cruise ships because most of the passengers are probably more conservative than me. I would do nothing to offend anyone, but would have loved the hot tub if everyone else was into it. That is the good part about the topless deck, everyone is on the same page. Even the ladies who choose to keep there tops on understand topless is acceptable there.
I wish I was Cause I really want to see you and Monique, Topless.
I will be On a different cruise. Bottomless!!
I give good massage's if you decide to change
your cruise,Whats your E-mail address?????
Lots of oil, No Sheets, from head to toe.
Send me your E-mail will chat
and Monique too!!!!!!
Just to change the direction of this thread, has anyone registered yet for the "cruise critic" party. We have 18 people registered so far, need another 7 for the cruise line to hold the party. It's a great way to meet the people you've been communicating with (assuming that you want to meet them).
Let's get registered.
Just got our tickets, etc. today. Looking thru the shore excursions. What is everyone else doing?
If you can't find the link at Cruisecritic, go to "www.celebrity.com" and click on the link for "prepare to sail", then click on "FAQ", and then on the "Cruise critic connections" link. Just follow the instructions from there under "how do I register for the party"
See you on board.
