Did you sign up for the celebrity party for the July 31 cruise. We have 19 people so far. We need 25 for Celebrity to give us a party. Check it out on cruisecritic.com listed under cruise connections.
I'm now signed up to leave Dover in June. I was forced to take the early dinner time, so I hope that isn't going to detract from the experience (that's what I get for being a late comer). Other than that, it looks like fun.
Kuki, any recommendations on excursions or things to do on the ship? This will be my first cruise.
Re: Re: Re: Constellation Cruise to Northern Europe
I'm leaving on Constellation on July 31 and believe I'm on your ship.
What is the party you are referring to?
I'd like to do a 2 tour with Red October in St. Petersburg. Is your
group doing a tour with them? If so do you have any room for 2 more
Yes, we did the one that embarked on May 8th. It was quite enjoyable even with the cooler weather at that time of the year. Celebrity did a fine job. This is one of those cruises one should do but having done it, we have no urge to revisit any of the places we saw.
I think the most awesome was Berlin for those that remember the wall. It was also eerie to actually be in Russia.
Took it in late May/early June and it was wonderful.
Seriously consider getting a group together and spending the two days in St. Petersburg with Red October. They're very good, and from comparing notes with others who took ship's tours, much more efficient, comfortable, and comprehensive. Plus, if you can put together a group of eight or more, less expensive, too.
We were on the Constellation Baltic cruise (May 22 - June 5) and had an incredible time. The cruise itself couldn't have been better, and every one of the ports was a winner. This is not a relaxing itinerary because it is so port intensive, but it is well worth the trip. We'd do it again in a New York minute.
