I haven't used buycruises.com but 2 months ago I booked thru travelocity.com and got a skysuite for 1750 per person on Mercury, haven't seen it that good since. I also haven't found that price anywhere else.
We have booked with BuyCruises.com for two cruises & have been very satisfied with their customer service & prices. I highly recommend them. We used their site to price the trip, but called them directly to book.
I have used Buycruises for my last 3 cruises and have 2 upcoming ones, also booked with them. I highly recommend them - make sure to call and speak with an agent, they are all very pleasant and helpful.
Is this THE Peter from the now 'dead' site? Sure hope so but if not HI - I am in Canada and wld like to know if they sell to us Canuks too - I am presuming yes as long as we are willing to settle 'up' in US $ right??
I just tried Cruise Value Center...although I have never heard of it before...but they don't show CC or 1A, 1B cabins. I guess if I call an agent I could get prices for those cabins. Anybody else ever use them???
I booked again with BuyCruises earlier this week and just this morning gave my agent's number to my boss and within a couple hours, she was back at my desk with her confirmation. Just like I promised her, they beat all her online quotes when it came to the total price. (Whew!)
No, I don't work for them or any cruise related business. However, some may say I have a bit of a brown nose today! <g>
I'm actually a banker who budgets and knows great services and prices when I seem them. The key though is to find an agent/agency you like and are comfortable with.

I've done a little research and value cruises does not accept any coupons and their prices as final. My cruise agent at Buycruises will make any adjustments with coupons and if the cruise fare is reduced, he will make those adjustments as well, at no fee. Better to be on a ship than on a subway right now
