Does anyone know if the CC class of rooms on the Zenith are different than the regular rooms? This is our first cruise (taking my mom for a m/d vacation!) :-)
The rooms available are on the Atlantic deck. Can someone advise if these rooms are worth the extra $150 each? (I went to their web site and found conflicting information. Do the CC class rooms have verandas???)
The room wont be different, you get added amenities. We just got back
from the Century and had a CC room. We didnt feel it was worth it.
You get bettter towels, selection of pillows, Champagne in room, shampoo etc,
supposedly priority getting on the ship but we didnt see that. You can go
online and look at added extras. Stick with a regular room, we didnt feel like
it was anything different.
Thanks for your reply! Do you think it would be "worth it" just to get on an upper deck? According to my TA, the only rooms left are on the Europa deck. I was thinking the extra $$ might be worth it just to get on a higher deck. What does everyone here think? I've never cruised before....so I don't know what to expect. Friends that cruise tell me "upper and middle is better".
We just got off the Zenith on April 22nd. It is a nice ship. There are no verandahs though. From what we saw the rooms are basically the same size except for the Suites and Royal Suites. We had a Suite (1008). It was basically just a big room. Nothing spectacular. I would not pay the extra for the CC category. I actually would pay the money for the Suite class on this particular ship again. The outside cabins had a nice amount of room and I don't think I would have missed the space we had. Upper and middle are usually good, but this ship is very well stabilized so you shouldn't have a problems anywhere. This particular ship had some nice rooms on the back of deck 10 that were nice outside rooms with the advantage of a secluded small aft deck that not a lot of people used. It was almost like a private deck for those on 10 aft.
Well the higher up you go the more motion you feel. We were on the
tenth deck, penthouse deck. It all depends on what you want. We
really booked the CC for the priority embarkation and such, and didnt
see it. I got in line at the captains club, and asked her about it. She
made it sound like there was no special line for CC, but she took care
of us. What ever you decide, hope you have a great time
HI....... We are booked on her sister ship the Horizon on a cruise to Bermuda.
We choose a midship outside cabin on a lower deck as we were told that is
the most stable point on the ship for the least motion????? We have read some
nice reviews on this ship as well as the Zenith. I looked at a CC cabin on our
cruise but decided to stay where we are. The cost to upgrade was not that much
more but we liked our location now. I guess it really dosen't matter. I know any
booked cruise is a good cruise. Enjoy!! Lee and Kelli
