Can someone please explain to me the difference of a guarantee cabin listed at different catagories?? My husband and I have choice of a guarantee outside cabin or booking a specific one. Does it matter on the Horizon(8/21 out of Philly)? Also, how formal, semi formal are the evenings? Thanks for the help.
I think it is like it says - if you go with a specific cabin - that is what you get. If you go with guarantee outside cabin - you might get something even better than if you went specific.
We booked an inside cabin on Horizon through the company and did not get an upgrade. Even the inside cabins are very large - and there was plenty of room.
Folks were pretty dressed up for the fomal nights. I brought a suit for formal nights and a sports jacket for the informal nights. It was fine.
Although the Horizon is a bit older, I think you will enjoy the ship. We had a great time, and the food was better than the Grand Princess, and the staff was great. If you are going snorkeling - don't forget to buy your own stuff - you will do much better than using the junk that they rent to you
If you want to book a specific cabin, then that would be the cabin you'd get, but by booking a guarantee, it would be any cabin in, at least that catagory. So, when booking this way always book the catagory you'd be happy with.
