Celebrity /RCI now have a Player's Club for gamblers
Received my letter today from the Royal Caribbean/Celebrity Player's Club. For gamblers who play fairly high stakes, and put in two hours a day during the cruise, you can now get rated, and get some very nice perks, as well as earn points (which convert to dollars) to be redeemed on your next cruise.
Interesting, because Carnival had a similar program for a number of years, and now they are cutting back on the benefits, and no more cash back. Now RCI is stepping up with what seems to be an improved version of Carnival's program.
Now I have a credit worth $625 dollars to use on my Millennium cruise in Nov., based on my play on the Serenade of the Seas last month!

Kuki: Did you know while you were on Seranade that this plan was in effect? I think it could be quite a perk.

Kuki:
Is the players club hooked up with any of the land based Casinos. I know Harrahs has some type of relationship at their land based properties with Royal Caribbean.

Don,
Yes, they do have sort of affiliations. I had received some promotional materials about the company and their set up with Celebrity/RCI before I cruised.
One offer included a complimentary stay at the Rio in Las Vegas. They also have a player's cruise scheduled in Aug (if I recall) where players cruise free.
I believe this is all relatively new, and if it works well, there will no doubt be more of this type of thing.

Was this just table games???? or did it also include slots and video poker?
BTW.. I received a chit for cash back from Carnival's OP Club earlier this month.

Hi ya Gitte,
The note I got with my letter says it covers slots as well, but for $5 dollar machines. It also covers craps, let it ride, Caribbean stud, blackjack and roulette
