Default On board booking

Hi all,

The same question as mine was asked in respect of Princess.

Is there any advantage to booking a future cruise on Celebrity while on board? How does it work. Can you do an open booking? Advice would be much appreciated.

Regards

Michael

Default Re: On board booking

We booked our upcoming Oct cruise on Celebrity's Summit back in Dec.

I got a Cat 9 cabin for Cat 10 price. This is how they pass on the savings of booking on ship, but you also get a shipboard credit on the upcoming cruise that you book.

If I can remember the shipboard credit is in increments of $50 up to the max of $200, but I can't remember what cruise length they are.

I do know that we are doing a 13-nighter we will receive the max onboard credit of $200.

This should be credited to our account when we get on the ship. I assume I may have to go to the bursar's desk to confirm this, but I'm going to bring my paperwork that I was given by the TA on the ship that states my credit.

You can choose a cabin while you book. it Not sure on open booking.

My TA in Miami will get her credit for the cruise. I also got her price, which she always beats any online price I've seen.

You will have to leave the deposit at that time of booking on the ship though with a credit card.

I thought this was a pretty good deal if you know you want to commit to a cruise for the future.

We are going to book on the Constellation in October a back-to-back on the Summit again for next year. Any money saved if alright by me.

Hope this helps.
