I saw a message a while back that talked about someone taking 'Fabreeze' air freshner along, just in case. Although in six cruises, we have never noticed a problem either.

I've never smelled smoke in any cabin we've been in.

If your wife is that sensitive to smoke you really should be more concerned about the smoke in the public areas of the ship. The Casino seems to be the worst but you will find smokers in many of the outside decks of the ship and on one side of some of the lounges. There are many smokers on these ships and they do make themselves known.

I thought one side was smoke free or is that just at the pool?

It is one side of the ship but the smoke smell really creeps in to all the public areas. People who are real sensitive to it will definately feel the effects.

We had a cigar smoking man on the balcony next to us and every time he lit up it drifted back into our balcony and cabin if we had the balcony doors open and only a small amount if the balcony door was closed. It just depends on how sensitive you are to smoke.
