Default Pole in the Cabin

Buy your wife or girlfreind some sexy lingerie, then be sure to embark with lots of dollar bills for your nightly dances around that stripper pole. 8)

Just returned from Mercury and would highly recommend 9005 and 9006 VIsta deck cat 4 superior OV and 8007 and 8004 Panorama deck cat 5 superior OV. Other than being completely forward, they are awesome cabins. Look at the deck plans and you can see that they appear larger and they truely are. LOTS OF SPACE!!!

I thought I would just pump this back to the top because there's some helpful info presented in the thread which people may have not seen yet.

I've booked 9187 on the Century, I know these cabins are not spacious but I'm hoping this is at least a decent balcony cabin. Any info on this particular cabin?

Hello, we have been on grand princess on deck 9 in the back of the ship.
Its not so nice there because over it on deck 10 theres a restaurant and it was very loud when they were moving the chairs.

An update to those wonderful CC aft cabins on the M-class ships. Celebrity is now redoing their category classifications and these cabins are now pricier than all other CC cabins. Word got out how desirable they are!

Not only are they changing those CC cabins and reclassifying them as CC1, CC2, and CC3 - they are also reclassifying those great 2C and 2B's with the larger balconies and moving them up a grade.

Has anyone stayed in 8098 on Millenium? I have heard that it has a partially obstructed view even though my travel agent and Celebrity both say it doesn't. I need some reassurance and any help would be much appreciated! Thanks so much!

Actually, the 2C's are the only ones with the larger balconies (referred to as sweet 16 cabins, they are the forward 8 cabins both port and starboard on Dek 6). And those prices have remained unchanged. However, we just booked a C1 aft balcony cabin on Constellation and it was significantly more expensive than the other Concierge cabins.

I thought it might be a good idea to bring back this topic now that we have had several months of Solstice class ships and also some changing of categories.

Default Good Thread

All-

Wanted to make this thread a permanent "Sticky" - as it offers some great advice to questions we read frequently.

BTW, my vote for the M-class ships are CC staterooms: 9043 & 9038 as both have the bump-out verandas, an incredible view and more space.

We just came off RCI's Radiance of the Seas. We were on Deck 7, aft. The last 8 cabins or so on this section of the ship (both port and starboard) have larger balconies. However, there is no privacy. There are standard partitians with glass extensions on each balcony. Therefore, if you leave your curtains open, your neighbors can peer around the standard partitions. One of our neighbors, though, had two toddlers and mom used this extra space to entertain the kids in the late afternoon. Whether this is a good or a bad thing is totally dependent on personal desires.

I'd like to thank you for your topic, as I read some of the posts I found that i may have a pole(or support post) in the middle of our Celebrity Mercury Inside stateroom, as did one one of your members mentioned in the sister ship on the plaza deck, I inquired with Celebrity and it is the case of pole in middle of room, thanks to you we will not be bothered with this as we changed rooms to a ocean view on the Panorama deck . Again thanks The Smiths

Default Here's a few

Kuki,
Been following the leads on some cabins. Some of my recent findings are these:

CARNIVAL GLORY (also Conquest, Valor, Liberty & Freedom): Deck 2-Main. (I hate having names. Who wants to memorize while on vacation?)
Cabins 2470, 2474, 2473, 2477.
PROS: These are all HUMONGOUS oceanview corner staterooms with over 275 sq. ft. of sitting space, more than ample clothing storage, double sets of windows for plenty of light. No need to wait for the elevators upon embarkation & ports. Just go up a flight of stairs! If you are a super light sleeper you'll feel the slight engine rumble. I actually sleep with a sound machine on, so the white noise is nice & i prefer being on lower decks.

CONS: Minor, but a few... These staterooms are located in the aft corners of the ship. It's a long walk to the back corner, but justifies that extra food on your plate. You may be awakened around 7:30am by the rear thrusters that park the ship on port days. But that only takes a few minutes. Lastly, the tv only has a 13 inch screen & is somewhat far from the bed. But then again, you're on vacation & can watch tv at home.

ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS: Balcony cabin 6324.
This balcony cabin is on the aft portion of the hump. Great view of the ocean, pilot and everyone else below & behind you. At the same time, everyone else above & towards the back gets a glimpse.

I am heading back to the Radiance OTS again this coming February. I was in a hump balcony cabin on deck 7 last time. This time around I am will be in an accessible room for post surgery needs. Should be roomy.

Safe & Happy Travels,
Cruise718

There actually would have been room for a lounger, but we didn't bother to ask for it. A great room (and if you get Vali as your attendant - it's an added bonus!)

6143 - Summitt.....

The extra balcony is nice - but....
You will only get sun half a day.
It's a nice cabin - but my walls seemed to vibrate when someone closed a door in the hall.

I liked the aft cabin I had a few years back.

Default Solstice Concierge Cabin

Was wondering if any of the aft Concierge or any other Concierge cabins are bigger or have a bigger balcony than other ones?

Default Infinity

We'll be heading out on our Panama Canal Cruise in November on Infinity, and got cabin #9162 (aft). It sounded so perfect, and the balcony looks amazingly huge, but now i'm a little worried, because the Oceanview grill is right above us. Will they be able to look down on our balcony? Will things (napkins, etc) blow down on our balcony?
Thanks!

Default Millennium 7199 any info??

We are booked for a southbound Alaskan cruise this August. Cabin 7199, a corner aft FV. Does anyone know if this balcony wraps around the side or is there a large partition separating it from the cabins on the side, thus limiting the view? I hope I haven't made a mistake in booking this. I was hoping to get a view of both sides of the ship???

Default Constellation Concierge Cabin

Now that the Constellation has been "Solsticized, does anyone know if any of the Concierge cabins have bigger balconies and do any of them receive direct sunlight? It seemed that most of the ones on the Solstice never got the sun because of the overhand. Thx

Post Equinox aft cabins on Penthouse Deck

I am booked on the Equinox for next summer in cabin 1670, a C1 class cabin on the Penthouse deck. I was told the C1 cabins this level and the Resort deck directly above have a larger veranda than other concierge class cabins. I have also read that there can be an issue with soot from the smokestacks landing on the verandah, but I believe the comment was regarding Solstice class ships, not specifically Equinox. Can anyone comment on this and on why the aft cabins are considered more desirable? Thanks in advance for any input regarding Equinox.

The four Carnival Spirit class ships (Spirit, Pride, Legend and Miracle) all have 2 long sections of extended balconies on each of the upper decks, which makes them much preferable to the standard balconies. But to the rear of the aft section on each deck, there are several cabins that have balconies that are also 2 or even 3 times longer than the standard balcony as well, but for the same price. Also, the suites on the aft corners of these ships have balconies that are much larger than the other suites.
