For those of you who have sailed celebrity before (millenium in particular), I was wondering if you could give me a little information regarding the average age level/range that you have encountered on board the ship(s). I am a 20 year old single male and plan on sailing celebrity during the winter holiday season with my family, but do not wish to spend every waking moment following them around. Do you guys believe that Celebrity can provide an entertaining cruise to someone of my description? I ask this because I had a bad experience with Carnival due to the lack of anything for someone of my age (17 at the time) to do while on board the ship, besides eat non stop. What are the age restrictions on certain activities aboard the ships? Do you think it is worth it for someone of my age to go on this trip or should I save my parents the money?
Thanks for the information. I generally dislike rowdy crowds so that sounds appealing to me. I may as well go, it couldn't possibly be any worse than spending an extra week in Chicago during the winter when I had the option not to.
Don't worry you will have a great time. I went on the Millie 2 years ago with my family (i was 22 at the time my sister was 19). We danced in the disco and met about 15 people (range of ages between 18-30) we hung out with there every night (we went druing March spring break). Since you are traveling at holiday time you will meet plenty of people. Celebrity is not stuffy or less fun than other lines, I found RCL to be kind of cheesy when I went the year before.
Key places to find people your age...
Bar by the Main pool
Pool (just sit by the edge that is where we always were)
Lounges before dinner
The buffet for lunch
