We're taking the 10-night Med cruise in Sept and I was wondering if Celebrity prepares meals ever based upon the place you are currently visiting. I had some trepidation taking a cruise (this will be my first time) since I usually like to be hands-on when I travel and really get in to the culture. Based on menus I've seen though (they look delicious), it won't be a huge loss if they don't serve Greek food when we visit Greece and we'll at least have lunch on land. But let me know if you know about the food.
The Med cruise (on the Mille) we took from Istanbul to Barcelona in 2001 did not have "theme" dinners....we had one late night buffet that was Caribbean style as that was where the ship would be heading next. I also don't recall theme dinners on our Alaskan cruise last May on the Summit either.
Last info I had was Celebrity has the same menu on all ships and the menu will repeat if the cruise is longer then seven days. This information is a few years old and may not be correct today.

On Mercury last February we had a Mexican theme buffet one night late in the evening. I also remember having a western style barbeque themed buffet one night on either the Mercury to mexico or infinity to Alaska cant remember which one that was on. So they did have something beyond the standard fare at least once on each of the cruises I have been on.
