After many years of trying, my wife has convinced me to try a cruise. We are booked on the Constellation for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean. We landed a balcony room - 6016 on the Penthouse deck. Any thoughts? Is this a decent room on a decent deck?
Appreciate any insight!
My husband did not want to go on a cruise either but I wore him down. The second day on board the Constellation, he said "go down and book another one"!
She's a beautiful ship and I'm sure you won't regret the decision.

I only have good things to say about The Constellation. We sailed her from NY to Quebec in September 2004 and had a wonderful time. The ship was beautiful and the staff was great. We were in cabin 7136 for 10 days, it was wonderful and we had plenty of room.
We just sailed on her last October out of NY to Quebec for 13-nights.
Great service! Wonderful ship! The dining room food was outstanding. As was the sushi, Cova Cafe (the chocolate croissants are to die for), and the specialty restaurant.
This was a perfect cruise and I would go on all the Millenium class ships again and again.
Check out Michael's Pub for Perry Grant, he's the piano player and is so funny, he packed them in every night. Hopefully he's still on your cruise.
The Constellation is my favorite Celebrity ship. Been on all but Millie. Went to Baltic its first year of service and am booked on the April 23 Atlantic crossing. Have been on the Penthouse deck in a veranda, great deck and was very quiet. Do not know what number the room was, guess I should keep a log of the rooms. Have a great time!! We booked a Celebrity Suite for the crossing, hope I do not miss the veranda, but figured with so many days at sea, probably wouldn't.
I cruised on the ship and I'm not a fan of it. I like a ship with more varied social areas and I think other Celebrity ships represent the line better. However, I saw Perry Grant on HAL's Veendam and he is absolutely fantastic if you go for piano bar entertainment.
You will be very happy with your cabin. We were on deck 8 which would be very similar to where you are only 2 decks higher. The cabins have nice bathrooms, well decorated and lots of storage. The ship is very nice, especially since you haven't cruised before and have nothing to compare it with. I don't mean this to sound like a negative comment, as it is not meant to imply anything at all wrong with the ship. Try to spend some time in the T pool area, it's heaven. The food is good and service outstanding. If you don't find enough to do it's your own fault as the daily bulletin which will be in your room every night for the next day lists every activity as well as where and when to meet plus there are shows every night, lounges with music, movies, shore excursions, games, a library and lots of people watching. Have a great time. NMNita
Cabin 6016 is directly above the Celebrity Theatre, so plan on staying up late to enjoy the show! You really should't have a problem. Been on the Millie & the Summit before, and the ships are great.
