There is no reason to leave a tip. You will not be embarassed. Not sure I would be going especially with the price for one menu at $57 per person. Its called a ripoff.

Where did you come up with a price of $57 pp? Last year it was $25, Can see them raising to $30, but think they would be empty at $57. We eat there several times during a cruise, we do tip.

Where is this $57 per person price coming from? The price is $30.00. per person and is SOOOO worth it. You will enjoy a five star meal and 5 star sevice that would cost you hundreds of dollars ashore. No further tip is necessary, gram and I enjoyed our experience so much in Summit's Normandy restaurant on our last cruise we did it twice. We also left an additional $20 tip.

We dined in the Normandie on board the Summit and did not leave a tip. Our understanding was the fee was the tip. We did pay extra for liquor of course.

To be clear , no tip is necessary. The fee covers the tip. We added $20 more for extraordinary and very personal service.

It is $30 per person but I beleave if you want to pay $27 more you can have a different wine with each coarse. That is where the $57 comes from. The Tip is included but if the service is as good as everyone says why not give a little more?????

We think a 20 tip is a good amount esp for the personal servcie you get in the specialty rest. . Also something extra for the sommelier is also a nice gesture--we only had one bottle so I think we gave $5.00 in addition to the 15% Wines are pricey.

To clarify..... there is no need to tip, of course if you wish go ahead, but if you read celebrities website...the $30 includes the tip.

"There is a cover charge for dining in the specialty restaurants onboard Constellation, Millennium, Infinity, and Summit. This charge is a $30 per person charge that will be posted to your onboard signature account (This covers gratuities). Additional charges apply for wines and other beverages purchased as usual."

We were in the Olympic a few weeks ago.
I left an extra $5 per person as a tip.
