Default Mercury Duty Free shop?

Is there a shop on board to buy a bottle of liquor with a fee to take it back to the room (not hold until the end of the cruise). How are the prices?
Thanks!

Yes there is a shop to buy liquor.
Our cruise this past mid May they stuck to the rules. The liquor purchased was delivered the last night of the cruise. Any liquor purchased on land was also held until the last night.

I should comment it was all hard liquor.

hmm...we purchased a bottle of scotch in the shop onboard and took it to the room.Or I should say my hubby did,I have no idea if he had to pay a fee,but I seem to recall seeing a $17 price tag on the bottle.Dont recall the brand or size, but it was a pretty good size. Dot

We also bought some wine and other liquor on board the Mercury. We found the prices to be very comparable to most places on shore.

On a recent cruise to Mexico, we planned to visit some friends in Matazlan. For their anniversary..we brought with us a special bottle of wine. We had to carefully wrap it against breakage and then it had to be stored until we arrived in Matazlan when it was returned us...etc. All of this requiring extensive planning time and explanation.

And then while cruising to Matazlan we found an excellent wine in the shop on the Mercury. We could have saved ourselves a lot of trouble and worry had we just brought the wine on board!
