My agent has asked us to prepay gratutities. How will I feel on the last night when other people at my table come to dinner and extend the envelopes to the wait staff. Will I look like a cheap dud? How do they know if you prepaid?
I"m confused; why does your TA care about the gratuities? You usually have the choice to pay them the traditional way (envelopes at the end of the cruise) or adding them to your account. Tell him/her YOU'LL decide how they will be paid. I' ve never had a TA even mention tips, let alone tell me how to pay them. Unless Celebrity is doing something different recently ( 8 seven cruises with them so far), handle it the way you so fit.
Once you get aboard, you will be able to pre-pay the gratuities.
As Bob said, " I"m confused; why does your TA care about the gratuities?" Not sure at all what business it is of theirs.
If you are dealing directly with Celebrity and by "agent" you mean one of theirs, the same story, just wait until you get onboard.
My nickles worth is don't pre-pay your grautuites with you booking.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, BUT rather to SKID In BROADSIDE, completely used up, totally worn out, and SCREAMING "WOW---WHAT A RIDE!!"
