Is it true that you can order a bottle of gin from room service to drink in your room? If so, does anyone know if they have Bombay Sapphire on Infinity and how much this might run me? Can I get tonic sent via room service too or can I get it with my "soda card"? Just curious!
I do believe from past cruises on Celebrity you can order a bottle of liquor. The price will be 3 times the amount from a local liquor store. You do not get the duty free price.
I once looked at the price for Jim Beam that I could buy locally for around $12.00 was $40.00 for the room, that was a liter bottle.
As for tonic to your room will be charged, the soda card is only good for dispensed sodas from the machine.
Can't really answer if Bombay is on the liquor menu.

I was on the Millenium on Feb. 13, 2005. I had a litre of Glenlivet scotch sent to my cabin. The charge was $55, which is not even close to "3 times" what litre bottles of Glenlivet cost at liquor stores where I live.
Actually, liquor prices are similar to real estate prices, in that the three most important factors are location. Just as it is immaterial what a 3000 sq ft house sells for in Houston, if you need to live in San Francisco, it is foolish to get your blood pressure up about what a cruise line sells for on-board consumption. Whining about the markup will only increase the board traffic, not affect the price you pay.
Bring it with you.... To be safe put it in a water bottle and they won't find it...You can also put the tonic in you check luggage and shouldn't have a proble. That way you can pay the same price as you do at home..
