Hi,
Did anyone notice the wattage of the hair dryers onboard the Infinity (probably the same on all Celebrity ships)? I don't want to bring my hairdryer from home unless the one on the ship will take forever. I've heard on this site that they are weak but I'm just curious if anyone knows the wattage cuz my travel dryer is pretty weak too, and whiny ; ).
Depends on the ship you are on. Century class ships have very weak dryers which become too hot to hold after only a few minutes. The ones on the Millenium class ships are much better. I bought a small & cheap (less than $10) one at WalMart to take with this time.
Not sure on the wattage, but they do get very hot.
On Celebrity I find the vacuum-type hose hairdryers hard to use. They get very hot to hold and I usually have to wrap a washcloth around it to hold it. Also, it doesn't lay flat if you want to put it down for a minute. It has a mind of its own.
I recommend bringing a small but high powered travel dryer with you. You can use it by the desk mirror while hubby is using the bathroom. There is an outlet there.
The ones on Royal Caribbean are better since they are in the drawer by the desk mirror, but I use my duct tape to hold the ON button to stay on.
