Default NEW Century deck plans out! Question

I have a question for Kuki or anyone else who has an "in" with the Celebrity folks.

Celebrity web site has now posted the new deck plans for the refurbished Century. They do NOT show a T-pool in the revamped spa area! Are they doing away with the T-pool? or did they just not include it in the details?

Thanks for any light you can shed!

I don't know the answer to this question FOR SURE. But I can tell you there was no mention made of removing it when I was in Miami discussing the new plans.

I think it would be highly unlikely that they'll remove it, because it is a VERY popular feature on their ships.

Hey Kuki

I certainly would hope that it's not gone! I love those T-pools on the C class ships! So much nicer than the M class. I guess we'll have to wait for some more info to come out of Miami.

The description still has the Thalassotherapy listed but you are correct that it is not explicitly on the deck plans. I do not think they would remove it but it is also one of my favorite feature of the Century class ships.

This bears some further investigation.

For those who would like to see the new deck plans they are on the Celebrity web site at:

Take care,
Mike

The 5 cabins facing aft on the Sports Deck that are red in color are the Sunset Veranda cabins. Everything on the back except number 1249, which doesn't show a balcony and is brown. They have different size balconies and one is turned sideways! I will look forward to a first hand account of these cabins after the drydock!

My cabin was supposed to become a balcony after the refurb, but it shows it as a oceanview still? Does anyone know if they are just not showing them yet? 8115

When you go to the deck layout page are you changing the dates? It has the before and after deck plans available.

They are calling it a Deluxe Ocean View instead of a cat 5. I guess the "Deluxe" part is the balcony.

Here is the description of your cabin:

Ship Name: Century
Stateroom: 2A Deluxe Ocean View, 8115
Deck: Panorama Deck
Stateroom Area: 170 sq. ft.
Veranda Area: 42 sq. ft.

Yes, I changed the date, thank you. I didn't think deluxe "ocean view", would mean balcony. Thats confusing, even the picture looks like a window.

All the catagories on this cruise line confuses me, I don't know the differences. I just told Nancy I wanted a balcony, this is what she offered.

Thanks for the help.

The old category was a 5, now they have changed the designation. They are still in the process of getting bits of information out a little at a time. Wish they would hurry up and get it all right and posted for us!

Thanks for the clarifications, folks. My heart almost stopped when I saw "oceanview". Like TBug, I assumed it meant just a view and no balcony. I also have a 2A booked and I'm all ready to sit on my balcony!!

Doesn't look like they quite have it together (why am I not surprised), it says 'deck plans valid from May 30 2006 to April 7 2007, but my Concierge Class cabin for the Cruise of the Century, while the description says a veranda, they have not changed the plans to so designate. We'll probably get to the ship and have no balcony!

I couldn't figure it out either when I was looking! April and I booked a balcony cabin, too, no cabin number though a 2A guarantee.

Interesting so we'll have to wait and see!

Can't wait to sail on the new Century.

They have two of my favorites, the Martini Bar and the Spa Cafe...and oh yeah the shops.

I'm glad Celebrity decided to upgraded the older ships....now we just have to wait to see the new luxury one in 2008.
