Default Any advantages to booking while on board?

What are the advantages of booking your next cruise while on board? We are considering doing this on our upcoming trip, but not sure what we would gain from it (other than knowing when we will be cruising again, which is probably enough!)

Thank you!

The fun of booking WHILE cruising!!

But for that next cruise, they also give you some on board credits. I think it is around $100.00 per booked cabin.

You can get up to $200 ship board credit when booking on the cruise you are on.

Patty,

What are the advantages of booking your next cruise while on board?

Celebrity gives a shipboard credit of $100 per cabin for cruises of nine or fewer nights or less or $200 per cabin for cruises of ten or more nights, in addition to your Captain's Club benefits (one category discount, etc.). The booking goes in the name of the travel agent who booked the cruise on which you place the booking unless you specify otherwise, so your travel agent will handle all further arrangements.

Celebrity ordinarily goves you a week to place your deposit. If in doubt, you can book your next cruise toward the end of the cruise and place the deposit through your travel agent after you return home.

BTW, the shopboard credit for onboard booking and the Captain's Club discount (one category within the same type of cabin) are fully combinable with the shareholder benefit, which is an additional shipboard credit of $50 for cruises of five or fewer nights, $100 for cruises of six to eight nights, $200 for cruises of nine to twelve nights, or $250 for cruises of thirteen nights or more. There's another recent thread that contains the links to the parent company's investor site and more discussion about this credit.

Happy cruising!

Norm.
