Default Cabin 8172 on Summit - Good Choice?

I have booked cabin 8172 for a 14 night Panama Canal cruise on the Summit. I have heard that these aft CC cabins with the larger balconies are often hard to come by. Has anyone had this cabin or one like it? Any down side to this cabin choice?

Love to hear your experiences or see your photos!![/quote]

This Webshots URL has someone's photos of cabin 8185 on the Infinity, which is the same as the Summit. This cabin is two doors away from yours, but looks to have the same layout. Sometimes, these Webshot sites time out, so if nothing comes up for you, let me know, and we'll get to it from another direction.

Default Any aft cabin....on any M Class ship

We booked our first aft cabin (9162) last year for a Millie Med. cruise. We booked one of these hard to come by cabins while on Summit in Alaska in May '04. Now we are spoiled. If you can get hold of an aft cabin: go for it. The views and the added space are just wonderful.

I've booked a CC cabin toward the back for Alaska repo in May '07 as all the aft cabins had been booked within a day of the cruise opening for bookings. However, I've recently found that cabin 8172 on Infinity is available and unless it's already gone (heard about it last night) - I've got dibs on it.

The veranda on the CC cat. cabins aft is as large (almost) as the actual cabin itself. We spent many late evenings enjoying the sights as we cruised the Med. last May.

Default This One Is A Keeper !!

Thanks for the great feedback and links to the photos. Now I know we made the right choice. We love to have breakfast on the balcony in the morning and will have plenty of room to do just that !
