We just returned form a cruise aboard the Constellation. I snapped a picture of her backside that shows the outside of the FOV cabins. They are the outermost cabins with the balcony protrusions you see in the picture on decks 7, 8, and 9. There are also FOV cabins just to the inside of the outer ones as illustrated in the Constellation deck layouts on the Celebrity web site. The outside ones appear to have a larger balcony area than the ones next to them. The only downside I can see to the deck 9 location is that you have an outside bar/dining area just above your balcony. Looks like a great view from those balconies...especially the outer ones.
We always choose these stern cabins---great with families and the balcony serves as an extra room (large with 2-4 lounge chairs and a table and 2 chairs). We think its worth the extra bucks for the "outside" addition to a suite! It was fabulous for the Alaska cruise --private sightseeing with some of the best views when we were in Hubbard Glacier (my photos turned out amazing). Also great if you are travelling with others (the grandparents had an inside room and it was nice to have the extra space and a place to "entertain" the family when we were all in the cabin). We only book these cabins when we travel with the kids (also like the sliding privacy door that separates our bed from the kids sofabeds and then the kids have a double room--balcony + sitting area).
Hi KMK...don't recall that the FV stateroom was concierge class when we booked it the past 3 cruises. We have booked it on Constellation for our JUly 1 sailing and there was no mention of this being concierge class.
