Hello to all cruisemates who will be aboard the Century for the New Year's Eve cruise. My name is Brian and I will be joining the Century this Friday (Sept, 15) in Barcelona. I am the art auctioneer onboard.

If anyone has any questions that I can help with, please ask. I will probably stay onboard until Jan or Feb.

Also if there is a number of cruisemates (12 or more) who like art, then let me know and I will arrange a private function complete with complimentary champagne, cocktails, wine etc. and snacks as well.

That's great to hear. With 175 of us I think it will be easy finding a dozen art lovers. Got any sports memorabilia??????????? I can always go for an autographed jersey. LOL

I have bought my dress, and now checking out the tuxs for dh.
Have a new suitcase to fill, and getting our liquids into safe/ spillproof continers. It is a long time to wait, but I have to start sometime.

Carole, a few months ago we were going to order a rental, while pricing them out we discovered it was actually less expensive to purchase one for DH, since we cruise at least once a year, sometimes two. We got his tux at K&G for about $120.00, bought two shirts, cumberbun and bow tie all for less than $200.00. Now we never have to rent any.

Yes that is a good saving for the tux.
My dh is hard to fit so the extra charges for shortning, and adjusting. Amounted to a lot more then we expected. At least I'm shopping around for the shirts, studs & cuff links, tie, and vest. Cumber buns are not in this year. so we passed on them.
We have the Men's Wearhouse her in our city. The gave really good service and extra special perks.
We cruise many times so that is a plus to save on the rentals.

So I guess we are still considered newcomers, but our plan is to cruise at least once a year, and if I can get good bargins (like this cruise) we will cruise more. I love it, but I prefer the warm weather areas, Alaska was nice, but I really missed hanging out at the pool.
