Which is better: Valparaiso to Buenos Aires or BA to Val?

We are planning for a cruise winter of 2007-08. Are there any advantages to the "direction" of the cruise? That is, is it better to sail out of Valparaiso or out of Buenos Aires?

We are going on Princess on 2.24.07. We are going Valperiso to Buenos Aires. I don't think it matters all that much as the ports are usually the same.

B.A is a much larger city than Valparaiso. It would be interesting to find out about the $100 per person fee if you flew into BA and out of Santiago. Do you still pay it?
Can’t think of any thing different about the direction except if you do a pre or post stay. If you do both it makes no difference. I think time in each city is good to do. If you end up in Valparaiso, plan a tour of Vina Del Mar on the way to either the airport or the hotel. Usually this is best arranged as a private tour. You might be able to get your large luggage transported by Celebrity if you have a post cruise hotel booked. This would allow more people on a private tour to decrease the cost per person.
If not you should be able to find a van for four people with luggage.

There is no exit fee to get out of Chile. So you save the $100.
