Default Butler

So the Royal Suites come with butlers, is this in addition to the person that cleans your room? Or does the butler do everything? Was there really much benefit to having the butler?

Good evening,
Butler service is included with all suites booking ( SkySuites, Royal, ect...), and this is over and above your normally assigned crew for regular service.
It's really worth the thrill if nothing else. The one we've had on our recent cruise , Mark, was terrific. Discreet, yet very much there . Sereves your ''tea time'' and ''early evening canapes'', will get whatever it is you need and would normally get yourself. Special needs ?? Just ask.
You want room service ?? Just watch him set the whole thing up for you...and serve it !!!
If you've decided to swing for a suite, enjoy that particular amenity: it's worth almost more than the extra space...

Cheers
Claude

Don;t know if you've read my "butler article" but here's the link. Should give you some idea of the niceties of having a butler.

Don't forget, having a butler and a steward adds an extra person to tip.

Yep.....a whole humungous $ 4.50 /day.......a deal breaker ???
I suggest that someone who shells out the hundred$ needed for a suite for a 7 day cruise will somehow not be too shocked at the prospect af adding $4.50++ /day...
By the time the cruisemates sip the last of the complimentary bottle of bubbly, they'll be on the '' ++ '' side of the ledger on that one.

Happy sailings
Cheers

we might have a royal suite but that doesn't mean we in rolling in the cash, we were able to upgrade because our original booking was cancelled and we received a $3200 voucher to apply to this trip! I thought I read that it was $3.50 a day per person for the butler plus $3.50 a day for the person that cleans your room..so combined it was $7.00 a day per person? Still, it only works out to be like $50 a person, not a big deal they all work hard and probably get paid very little!
