We arrive on Summit in Los Angeles on a Saturday at 7 am. Hopefully we will be off the boat by at least 10 am. Are there plenty of taxis available to take us to LAX and how long does it take? Is taking a cab the best way to go? Our flight leaves at 1.30 pm. Are we OK for timing? This is our first cruise so would really appreciate help.
We used supershuttle to and from San Pedro. $17.00 one way per person. Its a shared ride, but it took about a 1/2 hour with the additional stops. I think X leaves from the same pier, if not the shuttle is just a bit more from Long beach.
Usually there is a line of cabs waiting.

We had booked Super Shuttle prior to our Hawaiian circle cruise last April in advance. We stayed in San Pedro at the Holiday Inn and they provided (if I'm not mistaken) transportation to Celebrity's terminal. Upon return from Hawaii, the Super Shuttle driver was there waiting with a list of names. We made it in short order to LAX considering the mad rush outside the terminal. He did a great job - and the cost was reasonable. Only one problem: Our flight was delayed leaving LA thus causing us to miss our connection in Nashville (or Memphis) and we had to spend the night (at airline's expense of course) and caught an early flight the next morning back into Columbus.
More than you wanted to know - but Super Shuttle was prompt and knew what they were doing. I'd use them again for shared ride in LA.

We booked Super Shuttle for Jan. 6th cruise on Summit from La to
the Panama Canal. Real mess up - the directions I was given were wrong
and no one to meet us with name cards or whatever. Was standing around the airport looking like "jerks" for over an hour. Finally got it
straightened out - glad I didn't "prepay" Had I known what a hassle it turned out to be - I would have just grabbed a cab as we weren't that far from our hotel. (We flew in the day before just in case of unpredictble
Western New York winter weather. - the day we left Buffalo was 55 and
blue skies and sunshine.
