As of 1.02.07 ....

"Fees & Equipment: Guests on all Celebrity ships can surf the web in cyber cafes featuring up to 18 stations at a flat rate of 75 cents per minute or package rates of 100 minutes for $70, 200 minutes for $120, and 500 minutes for $250. The same rates apply to wireless hot spots on all ships except Zenith and in-stateroom Internet access available on Celebrity's Millennium-class ships -- Millennium, Infinity, Summit and Constellation. Guests need to bring their own laptops and request a Connect@Sea kit onboard which costs $10 per day. Penthouse, royal and celebrity suites on Millennium, Infinity, Summit and Constellation also have flat-screen monitors and fax machines."

This is wrong. Wireless access is available, so there's no Connect@Sea kit necessary, and no $10/day charge. They do have some laptops available for rent at $20/day

Here is another cut ....

"Do you have Internet access onboard?

Subject: Internet Access

Connect@Sea service is only available on: Millennium, Infinity, Summit and Constellation. This service is accessible from any guests' stateroom or suite.

This service requires the rental of a phone kit, which can be obtained from Guest Relations. Guest Relations has a limited amount of phone kits onboard.

Guests will be charged a nominal daily fee for the rental of the unit. In addition to the daily rental of the unit, there is a per minute charge, as well as the option of multiple packages which include a number of minutes. Guest must contact Guest Relations to obtain a brochure that explains the program and enrollment.

In order to take advantage of this service, the guest must bring their own laptop, which must have the following requirements:

Windows-based operating systems
Internal modem
Dial-up Internet capabilities "

Default E-mail - Celebrity Summit

Was just on Summit through the Panama Canal from Jan. 6 to 20, 2007

Costs $ 2.00 to send and receive messages each way. I don't know about
buying more minutes - I think it is available - we only used it to clear up
some issues with our travel agent about some "perks" we didn't receive
when we boarded. Was pretty easy to use - there is a crew member in
the internet cafe to help if needed.

Just read that Highseas Computer Services, which has been managing X's computer and internet services for a few years, is being (or has already been) phased out. Apparently, Highseas is exiting Constellation after the current cruise.) No word yet on whether another company will be taking over or if X will be handling it in-house (as it used to), so rates and service may change.
