Default Celebrity Millenium Caribbean Excursions

Good Day,

I will be sailing with Celebrity in December with a stop at Nassau, Bahamas.

Two excursions have really peaked our interest.

1. Atlantis Tour
2. Breezes Resort.

Has anyone done either one of these excursions through Celebrity?

I am interested in hearing what exactly you can do at Atlantis. Can you see the aquarium, use the slides, etc..?

And with the Breezes, do you have full access to all the Resorts ammenities?

Each of these tours are fairly expensive so I want to know exactly what can be done with each.....or whether you can go on your own for more freedom and possibly less money.

Thanks in advance for the information.

I did the aquarium tour there a few years ago, and you were not allowed to use any beach facilities. The aquarium was awesome, a great way to spend the day, and then go into the casino, and shop the great stores.

I know years ago, you used to be able to get a day rate at the Comfort Suites next door to the Atlantis property, and avail yourself of the beach, etc, but I just made a phone call, and they no longer offer this.

And the Atlantis is something you don't need to do through the ship. A taxi will easily take you over the bridge to Paradise Island. Enjoy!

Thanks for the response. I was beginning to think no one had done this excursion.

I think what I'll do is just pay for a taxi or walk instead of the ship excursion. I've always been interested in seeing the resort so being on my own may be best.

Thanks again for the info.

I did the excursion to Breezes Resort a year and a half ago. I have not been to the Atlantis Resort.

I don't know.

The excursion to Breezes Resort is all inclusive, and you become a guest of the resort for the time you are there. You have full use of all facilities including the restaurants and the bars, and you may participate in all activities and events on the resort's schedule. All food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages for those who are of age, are included in the price of the excursion. The resort has a nice beach with plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc., a very nice outdoor pool, and an activities staff that is always orchestrating something.

I don't think that you can get into the Breezes Resort on your own, so the ship's tour probably is your only option if you want to go there.

You can visit the Atlantis Resort on your own, but I have no idea as to the cost of taxis or other transportation to get there and back. The tour might also visit some areas that are not accessible to independent visitors, though this seems unlikely. Apart from seeing the fish, the casino seems to be its main attraction.

Enjoy Nassau, whatever you decide to do there!

Norm.
