We are considering celebrity Summit in March 08 in the Southern Caribbean. Price is great (especially compared to RCI) and itinerary is cool. But kids are resisting because they hear Celebrity is old folks only. We're talking 15 and 12 year olds. Any advice out there? We have an alternative of Milennium. The kids seem to think Royal Caribbean is "kid cooler." Any advice?
I have taken my kids on a number of Celebrity cruises and they are very kid friendly. Very underated childrens programs. During times when school is out therewill be alot of kids on the ship. The RCI Freedom and Explorer ships have lots of things for the kids to do....
I agree that Celebrity's children's and teen program is a well kept secret. The difference is that on Celebrity you need to bring children that are well mannered and that know how to behave in public at all times. There are a lot of cruisers on Celebrity that will not hesitate to tell youngsters that their behavior is unexceptable, if it is so.
Many cruisers on Celebrity are experienced cruisers and also most on Celebrity pay the extra for the more refined passengers, or so they hope . So I say yes, the kids and teens I know that have sailed Celebrity have loved it and many have gone back. But I do know one who's behavior was corrected. She admitted she knew better, but thought no one was watching
