Too early, and we're only going one way!

Mid-November, 2009, from Rome to Civitavecchia...

Take the train

If you want to really experence Italy, take the train.
A fraction of the cost better views and faster, depending on the train you book.

They have three trains that run on the same track out of Rome to the Coast, each train has different stops, Go online and check the schedules, The fastest of the trains will get you to the Port city in about 1 hr 15 min.
The cost will be around 23 Euros per person. A limo will cost $250 Euros plus tip. It''s about $1.60 = $1 Euro conversion
Gas in Italy is just around $8 per gallon, after converting litre's

Sounds good to me. I would also like to leave Rome in the late afternoon/evening and stay in a hotel the last night at port, after spending a couple of nights in Rome precruise. I was told the Hotel Borge offers transportation to port if you stay there.
