Default Alcohol Surcharge

RCCL allows (or used to) you to purchase alcohol in the ships dutyfree store and pay a surcharge (about $9) and take it to your room. Does Celebrity do the samething? Solstice will be my first Celebrity.

Default Booze on board

No, you can not buy any bottles from duty free shop for drinking onboard ship.
You can take two bottles of wine, during embarkation only, subject to $25 per bottle charge.
It's a policy, Celebrity went one step further.
Celebrity has a CONDUCT POLICY, for any body whom gets caught and or is involved in disruptive conduct.

All the information is on there web site.

You can actually buy from the shop but not duty free, generally you will pay the regular price and in some cases maybe a little lower than regular price might be. You have to remember that there is a reason items are duty free, next time you buy something duty free, read the paperwork that comes with it.

One thing you should get used to is that not everything Celebrity puts on their web site is correct and don't get me started about calling customer service...
