Boarding the Summit on Nov 1 2008 in Barcelona. Anyone been on this ship recently and can tell me what to expect?

We have not been on the Summit but have been on a sister ship the Infinity. We had great service, good food and great people.

Hello i have just come of the summit on the 8th Sep in barcelona.

The ship is in good order the service was average along with the entertainment.

Food was just above average

As to the post about Tray carrying, no one offererd to carry mine at any time, shame because on my past cruises with celebrity it always seemed a nice jesture, weather i agreed or declined, also they have stopped the one thing that i thought was a wow factour the magnificent grand buffee, unlike the galaxy when i was on her in march this year.

Our trip was Venice to Barcelona and the itineray was great.

Overall we had a fab cruise, and i'm sure you will to.

We just switched cabins to 6145 and have friends next to us in 6143. Three weeks from now we will be in Barcelona for our pre-cruise stay.

I'm glad to hear that the ship is up to scratch, our first time with Celebrity. I only booked this two weeks ago, since that time I've been gathering all the info. that I can.

We'll be flying into Barca the morning of the cruise from London, so no time in the city this time.

If you haven't been to Barca before it's a great city, make sure that you do all the Gaudi stuff. The centre is a manageable size to wander around or use public transport.
