Default Hotel for Nov 29 pre-Solstice Cruise

Is there any new information on a Cruisemates group rate for November 29 at a Ft. Lauderdale hotel prior to the November 30 Solstice cruise?

Hi Jan

In my opinion, I would not call THE BAHIA CABANA a Resort after looking at the pictures, but great location close to the cruise port and the beach.

The Sun Trolley heads right by this place and the water taxi also has a stop here.

There web site stated Best Baby Back Ribs in town $17.95
.
This Hotel does not provide any shuttle service to or from Airport/Port Everglades .

DAYS INN BAHIA CABANA BEACH RESORT AND MARINA

I got a phone call from one of our group asking me if we had a group rate at any hotel for the pre-cruise night. The answer is, "no, we don't. Sorry!"

We are tentatively planning to have the pre-cruise party at the Crowne Hilton, and if anyone is staying there will you please contact me? If no one is staying there, we may move the location. My wife and I are staying next door at the Renaissance because it was almost 1/2-price.

Anyway, the truth is, I am not the person to be calling with reservation-related questions. The group has a travel agent who is handling all of our details for this cruise, and that is Nancy Bogert. Here is Nancy's contact information for those of you who may need it:

Thank you to everyone for your hotel ideas and help.

Pheelgood and I considered several options and wanted to stay near the location of the possible pre-cruise get-together at a hotel on 17th Street.

After finding the Comfort Suites Airport & Cruise Port hotel sold out for Nov 29, we decided on their sister property, Hyatt Place for $159 (with our AAA discount). Our Hyatt Place room includes:

free airport shuttle
free continental breakfast
free cruise port shuttle

Thank you to Dannyboy for researching and posting the significant AAA promo price drop at the Hyatt Place. (See Dannyboy's post at the bottom of the first page in the first topic in the Celebrity Message Board.)

We had booked our hotel room only three days ago and were able to lower our room rate.

Now we can afford to pay for our luggage to go on the plane with us!

Default A Great Deal

I've just booked a room at the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Airport-North at 1851 SE 10th Avenue through Hotwire for $87.93 including taxes.

If you try Hotwire, search for rooms in Fort Lauderdale, and click on the 3-Star Hotel in Las Olas-Downtown-Port Everglades for $74. Keep in mind that Hotwire may give you another hotel, but this area (Las Olas-Downtown) is right next to the Port, so any hotel can't be too far away, and $88 is a nice price.

Good Luck!!
