Celebrity Constellation Scandinavia & Russia 30 May 2009

Anyone going on the Celebrity Constellation Scandinavisa & Russia cruise sailing on 30 May 2009 from Harwich. We are first timers as far as crusing is concerned and need any advice we can get. We really need help as far as the shore excursions are concerned. The St Petersburgh trips seem very expensive and it would be nice to know which ones to go for or is it better to get a visa and to it ourselves.

Hi we did this cruise July 1, 2006 and it was one of the most remarkable trips I've ever taken. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have gone to Russia.

In St. Petersburg and Berlin we used private tours companies.

Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen we did on our own, but in Copenhagen we did have do a private walking tour I booked on our own. I have a wealth of information on the trip.

Estonia and Lativa we did Celebrity Shore Excursions. Can't remember, but I'm sure I'm missing something.

Any info on your tours would be good. Also heard that apart from the formal nights it is now smart casual nights - is this correct.

We thought we would do a private tour for St Petersberg and maybe just do the rest ourselves - would you recommend this
