Mercury drydock in April 2010

I noticed the deck plan is changing for the Mercury as of April 19 2010. I am wondering if she is goin into drydock April 10-19 2010. We are booked on her for Sept 2010 for a 12 night Alaska to San Diego reposition cruise.
I don't know when she went to the yard for a makeover?

Anyone heard about a new makeover for her?

One of the things they are going to do is replace the glass paneled doors in CC catagory. They will be replaced with wall to wall glass sliding doors like the ones in the suites. Don't know what else is planned.

There is no drydock planned for Mercury at this time.

She was just in for a major makeover about 1 1/2 yrs ago and I doubt anything is planned at this time. The change in category's has to do with a fleetwide change in naming category's. One of the things I believe they are doing is having a couple of category's of CC cabins.

If you check the web site she has cruises booked for the entire month of April.

Don-you're right. I just checked Celebs.website and looked at the cabin we have booked for Nov.30. CC #1201, then checked the same cabin for April 2010. No difference-still a glas paneled door. But I see they now hace 3 cat. of CC cabins. So I guess whatever changes are coming can be done without drydocking. I hope they keep the Mercury around for a few more years-it's a great ship. Perefect size for us seniors!

I agree, I hope they do keep her around a few more years but with their track record, I doubt it.

The Merciry is our very favorite ship of the Celebrity fleet. We too like the smaller ships in the 70,000 ton range.

I also love the Mercury. We have sailed on her three times and hopefully we will sail on her again.

We booked her for march 2010 to western carribean. first time on celebrity I hope that everything will be fine, I read the one fellows comment about celebrity and it has me second guessing ! any help or advice?!
