Century in Europe: Concierge Class vs. Sky Suite?
I'm a long time cruiser considering his first cruise on Celebrity. We are looking at a 12 day Western Med RT from Barcelona on Celebrity Century in June 2010.
I trying to decide between Concierge Class and a Sky Suite. SO: Other than the obvious difference in cabin size between the two classes. What are the other differences? Service, amentities, freebies? Also the web site says most Sky suites have enormous verandas (142 sq. ft.) with some much smaller ones (69 sq. ft.) Does anyone know which Sky suites have the smaller verandas? I want to avoid booking those. I tried calling Celebrity for these answers, but got an apparent newbie on the phone who knew less about the ship than I did! Thanks in advance for your assistance. __________________ http://www.cruisemates.com/forum/ima...ine=1248171442 TV Dad 87 Premier Big Red Boat - Bahamas 87 HAL Niew Amsterdam - W. It really depends on what is important for you: The suite amenities include priority boarding, tote bag, in suite dining....etc then do the Sky Suite.
The Concierge Class gives you some of the suite options such as: canapés, welcome bottle of wine, flowers, bathrobe etc. If you book a suite I strongly suggest not booking a guarantee. The Sky Suites on Deck 12 have the large balconies with the SS on deck 10 having smaller balconies. The cabins are identical. Check out a deck plan before booking. More information can be found at: Celebrity Century Information I do not suggest booking a "Century Suite or Sunset Veranda" on Century. The Century Suite is an aft balcony cabin but is not much larger than a regular cabin and the Sunset Veranda overlooks the Sky Bar and is noisy and the veranda is not private. If it was me I would go with a Deck 12 Sky Suite "if" the price is not significantly higher. If there is a large difference in price I would go with the CC class and have more money to enjoy Europe. Take care, Mike |
The sky suite is much bigger; Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, two lower beds that convert to queen, sitting area with sofa bed, television, DVD, safe, phone, hairdryer, minibar, bath with tub and shower, wireless internet access for a nominal fee.
