Default Celebrity vs RCCL entertainment

I am trying to decide if I am ready to try Celebrity. We enjoy the entertainment on RCCL. The production shows, comedians, karaoke,Quest. We are not into the disco & although we usually go back to the cabin around midnight I am wondering if Celebrity will be too quiet for us at night? We are 50-60 yr married couple. Any help will be appreciated. Looking at the Solstice.

Smile Celebrity

You will find on Celebrity a much more sophisticated cruiser than on RC I believe..Not having been on the Soltice YET I can't tell you what the entertainment is, but there is no rock climbing, ice skating or bowling alleys. Normally we do trans-atlantics on Celebrity but shortly we will be doing the Soltice for the Western Caribbean and in October the Equinox for their Holyland cruise--oh yes.. we are a tad older than you two.. BTW there is a great sale going on now for the Soltice for those over 55...

My DW and I are a couple years or so older than you, and we found plenty to do on the Solstice as well as other Celebrity ships.
On our last Soltice cruise we were usually in the sky lounge till 2AM or so.

Thanks for the input, but I am not asking about sports entertainment ( rock climbing, ice skating ) or lounges, disco. I am more interested in production shows, comedians, game shows, karaoke. Do they roll the streets up early ? or is there planned entertainment throughout the night ? Thanks !

If ur late supper forget about seeing 90% of the shows after .the shows on our cruise where for old people that are up early and go to bed early. The shows for late seating were before dinner 7 and 730. When there was a contest they told is to eat and run if we wanted a seat .well we could't find a spot to stand and see. the seats were kept occupied from the early dinners.crew show was at 1100 in the morning and usally is a hoot. stick with RCCL or canival aleast they also had an x rated comedian that was really funny. Also had lounge act from Vegas. The olny place that there were any people on the celebrity after was in the casnio an not many there. cruise 1/2/10 OO Baltimore.Cold weather cancelled out door activitties and no place to bring them inside. the activities people needed to more flexable.
