Default Drink Prices

We are cruising on the Solstice in May. I have seen that prices were very high for drinks & wine. I was wondering if it would be worth it to sign up for the daily drink program. Thank You for all your help and any other comments about this ship.

It all depends on how much you drink in a day. We had the beer packages on the Century and it worked great for us. If you can drink more than 6 beers per day go for it.

As the previous poster said, it all depends on how much and what you drink.
When we traveled with a teen, buying the Coke Card for the week was a good idea, and we certainly got our money's worth.
Personally, I prefer water or juices, so it wouldn't make sense for me.

On occasion, we have had drink coupons as part of a special package (honeymoon, birthday, Bon Voyage) and those have come in handy and are much appreciated.

Alcoholic drinks are very expensive on any ship, and if you are not careful, you can run up a tab almost as expensive as the cruise itself!

It really depends on how much and what you drink. The prices vary from around $150 for a seven day Frozen Drink Package all the way to $530 for a "Premium Liquor Package".

At $530 for seven days it works out to $75/day. That is about six top shelf martinis per day or around nine top shelf cocktails.

You have figure that a beer will run about $4 - $5, Frozen Drink about $6 - $8, well drinks around $6-8 and top shelf $8 - $14.

These packages are per/person with only one drink per order. In other words, "no sharing". Just make the decision that is best for you.

Take care,
