Finally got my cruise review done but I'm having a problem submitting it-posted on tech help but no answer. maybe someone here can help? the problem is-on the drop down menu for the date there's no"2011". If I leave it blank, then I get a message telling me I didn't complete all the fields. Maybe I should put in 2010......

I'm going to pass that info on. But for any problems on the site email Editor@cruisemates.com for speedy responses.
For several yrs. Connie was my favorite ship. Glad to hear she's still doing well.
John, if you refer to the Thalassopool, yes, it is still there.

Just got the review posted! Thanks Kuki or whoever for fixing the problem.
There are a couple of things I would like to add regarding the Captains Club. I did not want to include these comments in the review because not everyone is an Elite member. I really hate that word-makes one sound like an elitist
This was our first cruise as "Elites" and we were pleasantly surprised at the perks we got. 1 1/2 hours of internet, a free bag of laundry (very handy on a 14 nighter) and I had a couple of free sessions in the Persian Garden. There was an expanded continental style breakfast in Ocean Liners every day -toast, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurts, smoked salmon, juices and smoothies. You could also order specialty coffees and, if you really wanted to kick start your day, there was screw drivers, bloody Marys, mimosa and Bellinis. It was never crowded-don't know why more people didn't go there, unless they wanted a cooked breakfast. But the biggest surprise was the Happy Hour. Because there were 400 Elites on board, this was held in the newly refurbished Reflections every night from 4 to 6 (except embarkation day, the Senior Officers Cocktail Party and another Captains Club event) This was VERY well attended and I could see why-the drinks flowed non-stop. Anything you wanted. And they pushed the drinks as if you were paying for them-if your glass was half empty the waiter brought you another one. And the drinks were not skimpy, twice I had to get a glass of ice and tonic to make 2 drinks out of my vodka tonic. DH did the same with his scotch and soda! And there was an abundance of appetizers-not the kind you get in CC but trays and trays of really good hot and cold items served by an army of waiters. We had a great sail away party every day!
I must mention the Captain Clubs Rep. His name was Graeme and he was outstanding. He and an assistant stood at the entrance to Reflections every day and refused entry to anyone who was not adhering to the dress code-anyone in shorts, sleeveless or collarless t-shirts or ripped jeans was denied entry. He politely reminded people that the dress code was clearly marked on their Elite package-and no one made a fuss. Most went and changed and came back. He was also table hopping every morning in Ocean Liners and kept things running smoothly in the Elite departure lounge (cinema).
This cruise was one when everything complimented the other-the passengers, ship, itinerary, crew and officers. We met some passengers who were doing BTBs (one couple doing 4 BTBs-that would be 8 weeks!) and a lot were rebooking the same cruise for next year. I can see why.
And jaqueline is right-the Thellasotherapy Pool is no charge. I think the only ship where it is not free is the Mercury-and that's gone soon.

Glad to read you had a great time, Jacden! 8)
By reading I guess they cleaned up their act overall on the ship.

Isnt the Elite program great? My BF will not cruise any other line now. On 14N Connie in Dec. also Reflections for cocktails. We had our fav. corner table in far front corner in those gorgeous white leather club chairs. I remember the blonde lady server, probably from Eastern Europe. They always brought us 2 drinks at a time. Doing 23N on Century soon. They also do a great Elites.

Those beautiful window seats were so popular that we found ourselves going earlier and earlier every day in order to get one! No problem except that the sooner you get there, the more you end up drinking 23 nights on the Century sounds like heaven-enjoy!

I submitted a review on Feb.24 but as yet it hasn't been posted. Actually, I don't see any reviews posted for 2011. I've been trying to figure out how to attach pictures and I THINK I've got it-finally! So here goes.....if these work I think I'll submit an album. These are pics of the Oasis of the Seas in Port Everglades, the forward, midship and aft of NCL Epic in St.Maarten and Disney Magic also in St. Maarten.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth about the cruise on the Connie as well. My husband and I went on March 7th and had a great time.
We danced and danced every night, met some great people as well as even got to dance with the dance staff. Not only that, we also got to dance with some of the senior officers at the club when dj (Henrique from South Africa) started playing Zorba the Greek.
Take care hope to see any of you on the Silhouette in November 2011 (one of the sister ships to Equinox - that was a great cruise as well).
Did anyone get tangled up when they went to catch a flight out of Miami that same day?
