Sleeveless blouse at dinner and formal wear?

I am a little confused about the dress code for women during dinner. Can I wear a sleeveless blouse or dress, with dress pants or skirt, to dinner each night, even on formal night if it is a formal top? Or will I have to have a shawl to cover my arms?

you'll be absolutely fine. A lot of my formal gowns are sleeveless. I think they're referring to men's shirts in the dress code.

Many women bring a shawls to prevent chills from the air conditioning.

Sleeveless won't be a problem-a lot of women wear halter top or strapless gowns. I don't anymore only because I seem to have grown wings on my upper arms And Trip is right-have a shawl or stole with you-the dining rooms can be pretty chilly.

I'm a little confused by your post. I don't understand why you would wear pants with a dress.
