Does anyone where the Millie and Soltice going to be in May 2013?
They show the last 2013 cruise Solstice in Ensenada and the Mille in
Hong Kong . Is the Mille going reposition to a Alaska ?
Interested a Trans pac cruise on the Millie.
It appears that MV Celebrity Solstice will go to Alaska, as that would be the logical reason to send her to the Pacific.
The fact that GTS Celebrity Millennium ends her present schedule in Hong Kong is indeed curious. She certainly could cross the Pacific and go to Alaksa, perhaps even taking a northerly route with ports of call in some of the Aleutian Islands, but I think it more likely that she might do some cruises calling in Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and other places in the Pacific Rim to see how it works out. Celebrity's fleet is growing, and the line's present deployments to Alaska and to Europe and the Mediterranean is probably quite ample for those markets, and the Caribbean has proven to be less profitable in the summertime. Also, many Elite members of Celebrity's "Captain's Club" are eager to cruise to new destinations -- and it certainly makes sense for the line to be responsive to the wishes of loyal customers!
I just got of the phone with my Carnival agent and booked the May 10, 2013 to Alaska on Millinimum. That itinerary just "deployed" as he said and the others aren't up yet for booking. I had called about 10 days ago and he put me on his radar and called this a.m. as soon as that sailing became available for booking. He also told me the Millie is going for a total refurbishing next April/May. 2012.
