Just booked the repo cruise on Celebrity Summit from Bayonne to San Juan.
This will be our first Xperience. Looking forward to sail out and the other ports as well.
What should we expect on Summit? I know she is an older ship destined to be Solsticedized. How is she now?

We were on the Summit in 2001. Good Grief-that's 10 years ago We loved everything about it-it's one of the reasons we now stick with Celebrity. Will it be Solsticized before you cruise? We were on the Connie in Feb.and the upgrades were fantastic-I'm sure they'll do an equally good job on the Summit. We're booked on the Silhouette in Jan. and will be sailing from Bayonne also-anxious to see what this port is like.
I hope you're as impressed with Celebrity as we are!

We're not able to answer your question, but just wanted to add our own "Wow ! we were blown away by Celebrity".
Unfortunately it was just a 4-nighter taster on the Eclipse, but if comparible cruises come up with Celebrity in the list, they are going to come out top of the list.

Not sure if you meant you are anxious to see what the port of Bayonne is like but if that is what you meant, we sailed out of there last fall. It's a new port and while everything was done as well as could be, they need to build it up more. Last fall it was merely a covered tent. After checking in we had to take a bus across the pier to the gangplank - all outside. Upon return, same thing, you and your luggage back on the bus for a ride across the pier to the tent covered terminal. Hopefully things have improved some there?
You are getting close to the big day. You must be feeling some excitement by now. 8)
