I love the Solstice-class ships of Celebrity. And, it appears you do too! Happy to hear you loved the cruise. Any details you want to share about your cruise? A memorable meal or crew member?

I agree with Dave. The Celebrity Solstice-class ships are absolutely wonderful and I think I've found my perfect ship. Love everything about them and would be perfectly content if that was the only ship I could sail on, that's for sure.

As far as crew members go, they all were absolutely first rate. Very friendly and helpful! For the food, my wife and i would say either the beef wellington or the beef cheeks were our favorites! Absolutely terrific! Don't think we have ever enjoyed our meals as much. We are now definately Celebrity cruisers!

Happy to read this!!!

We just booked Reflection for later this year.

On our last cruise, we realized that we did not want to sail Royal again. I like the bigger ships but I don't like the mega-ships.

I loved everything about Eurodam, except that it was maybe too small (we sailed her in rough seas). I think she is the same size as the Disney Dream ... which I found a good size but after two Disney and two DreamWorks ... I want to cruise without characters (my family excluded, of course)

What I loved most about Eurodam. We haven't sailed another ship like that. I've heard only good things about Celebrity .... so I can't wait! I like that we have been able to take our C&A status and kinda move it over to X.

We're on our first S Class ship next month. Very much looking forward to it. We've sailed on the M Class before and like Celebrity's product.

We've been on both the Eurodam and the S-Class, and while both are wonderful, we loved the S-Class more. Even with the larger size of the S-Class, we never really felt crowded. I just hope they don't go any bigger than that. The new 'mega' ships are just too big. Then again, it wasn't all that long ago that ships over 100,000 gross tons were all considered to be mega ship!

That's my though Pete.

Even thought the ships are well designed, I feel more "herded" on the mega ships.

Funny thing how ship design more than size can have a big impact on how crowded you feel.

We were on the Carnival Glory in December, which is 110,000 gross tons with 3700 passengers, and yet it felt VERY crowded pretty much all the time no matter where we went. Yet we were on the RCCL Allure of the Seas, which is 220,000 gross tons with 5400 passengers and did not feel crowded at all, except during a few occasions.

So even though the Glory is half the size, the layout and design of the ship is very poor resulting in a more crowded experience compared to a ship twice the size because of the many public spaces with good layout and design.

Now, with that said, we never felt crowded on either the Eurodam or the Eclipse, so that was a very good thing on both of these classes of ships.

Sailed the Connie on March 17th and Reflection on March 22. Enjoyed them very much. The Reflection was for nostalgia as it was the last cruise my DH and I did before his illness and untimely death.

We had cabin 7356 which is at the very back of the ship starboard side. It has an odd sized balcony which made it bigger than regular balconies.

We didn't use the main dining room as we had bought the 5 dinner package, which we thought was well worth the money. The other 2 nights we ate in the buffet as we just weren't that hungry. We also used Bistro on 5 for a couple of lunches, particularly on embarkation. No rush - no crowds.. Wonderful.

I had read about loud music on the pool deck and for me it was loud but it wasn't all day so there really wasn't any problem. They are still doing shows in the atrium at night as well as a couple in the theatre. I only attended one.

We didn't even have any problem getting the elevators, especially on debarking day, which really surprised me as that always seems to be an issue.

The beds on both ships were very comfortable and the bathrooms - showers were great.

Celebrity provided a transfer from Fort Lauderdale to Miami for us. There were 5 people changing ships. This is not information they want to share on the phone. Even as a travel agent I couldn't get them to give me an answer on the phone. I had made arrangements myself for a paid transfer but was able to cancel it once they confirmed onboard they would transfer us.
