Celebrity Captains Club/ pay fee

Is it worth paying the membership fee for Celebrity's Captains Club? I hear pros and cons.

Pro- I think it is the best $35 we ever spent. Of course we use it too. We have sailed on 5 Celebrity ships including the annual reunion cruise on the Millennium last year. The perks and special upgrades and parties and special embarkation desk is well worth the one time charge per family. If you don't like cocktail parties, don't care about getting a better cabin and boarding before everyone else, then don't spend the little extra after your first Celebrity cruise.

I agree it is worth the $35.00 one time fee. In addition to all the perks already listed.....Celebrity, on occassion, will send you discount coupons for certain cruises. We received one for booking on Summit....$250.00 off.

Thank you for your response. I fouled up and waited to long to join for our next Celeb cruise April 16, Panama. 10 to 12 weeks for confirmation. But will put in for it now as we are looking at Celebrity Southern Caribbean in March 2002 on the Summit.

If you plan on sailing on Celebrity more than once it is worth it. The priority boarding and debarkation are great benfits.
