Default Rhapsody of the seas

Can anyone tell me about their experiences with RCI and the Rhapsody of the Seas ship in particular. I am sailing the ship in December on the Western Carribean itinerary. Also, if anyone has a picture gallery that would be great. Thanks much,
Jon

Hi Jon,
We cruised on Rhapsody 2 years ago in the Southern Caribbean and had a wonderful time, the ship is beautiful!

Here is a pic of the atrium on Rhapsody, really pretty.

The Rhapsody of the Seas is a beautiful ship. Just the right size and offers something for everyone. Our Western Caribbean itinerary was great. Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and one other island I can't remember. If you have ever been on any of the Vision class RCI ships, you will feel right at home.
Bon Voyage

Hi,

We have been on Vision, which is the same design as Rhapsody, and loved it. We are also cruising on Rhapsody on 9 Dec as is Gramma Ann from the Cruise@ddicts board.

We sailed the Vision too right after the Rhapsody on the Panama Canal itinerary. It was great. The Solarium Pool and Viking Crown Lounge are my 2 favorite places to sail away the hours. Everything is virtually the same as the other ships, just different names of rooms. From the moment you board, you will feel like you are right at home and not need time to get aclimated. Have a wonderful cruise.
Bon Voyage

Hi Donna,
The picture you took of the atrium, that was the area where they had an art auction.
I too was on the Rhapsody 2 yrs ago and your name reminded me of someone I corresponded with on the net before the cruise. We sailed I believe it was around mar.apr.or may of 1999. Having a senior moment and cannot remember the correct month. Is this you??

Hi Marilyn,
Its very possible it was me, we cruised on Rhapsody in March of 99 with daughter and her boyfriend, now husband. We had a great time and yes thats the atrium where they did hold the art auctions. So, when is your next cruise? We're doing the New Years cruise on Golden Princess.

Donna,
Now that I think of it I believe it was Mar.99 also. I went with my daughter,son-in-law,and grandson who was only 8 months old.
I also became a celebrity in the casino and my picture was posted on their bulletin board. I was the first $2000.00 winner on the dollar slots.
I was on the Grand Princess last Nov. and I must say it was one of the best ships I have been on...The food, entertainment, service, etc. all excellent. I am planning another cruise on the Princess for sometime in 2002. This year so far I have been on the Imagination and my next cruise is in Dec 2001 on the Carnival Spirit, with a singlesgroup.

Hi Marilyn,

OK, yes I do remember you and your family, mainly because of the baby that you were traveling with. I beleive we were ont he same tour in Aruba when we went to the natural bridge, church, etc. Then I ran into you in the casino again. That was a great cruise, loved the ship. I know love the Voyager/Explorer ships, having just been on Explorer. Will try out Golden, not sure if I'll like it as much as Ocean, but we'll see.

How is the baby, toddler now??

Hope all your cruises are great and its great hearing from you, great memory you have:-)

Hi Donna,
I had a feeling it was you.....and you sat in back of me on the bus. right...and in the casino you came up to me when I was playing the slots and asked if I was Marilyn....I remember all the good things, the bad ones I blame on senior moments..
My grandson is going to be 3 in July...and a perfect gentlemen. I cannot believe how fast time flys. My grandson Matthew was on 3 cruises so far...The Rhapsody of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, and The Victory....When I was his age I was lucky to go on the Ferry ride to Staten Island.
It was nice to hear from you again,
Marilyn

Hi again Marilyn,
Yes, I remember sitting in back of you on the bus tour, what a small world. Its been great hearing from you too. Who knows, may-be we'll meet on another cruise? Did you also go on Voyager? We absolutely loved Explorer this past spring, could do it again. Take care.
