I like to write poetry that relaters to the love of cruising and have posted many on Cruise@ddicts and the old Cruise2 board. If any of you like this kind of thing, here's a new one.
When the balmy breeze blows gently,
And the azure sky is bright,
A day upon the tranquil seas
Is my secret heart's delight.
From the silver of the sunrise
To the sunset's shining gold,
I think of sailors on the waves
And the stories often told.
From the fabled life of Sinbad
To brave Jason's Argonauts,
To Captain Hook and Moby Dick,
Those tails are in my thoughts.
From the natives of the South Seas
To the whalers of the North,
From Colombus to the Pilgrims
When their tiny ships sailed forth.
I know the sea is in my soul,
I can feel it deep inside.
The thing that makes my life complete
Is to cruise on ocean's tide.
