This is a bizarre coincidence: In the classic "Caine Mutiny Court Martial", the entire crew of the ship aligns against the captain when his behavior becomes outrageous. During the trial, when asked why he acted so strangely, Captain Queeg testifies, "It was the strawberries."
That's why I was having to fight Tony off from the chocolate covered spatula! And who knows how many Tecates the PIG ingested before we ate him. Is there such a thing as second hand alcohol? BTW, I heard the mosquitoes died happy!
Pamda, I hope you have a big glove. If you need any help with baked bean pan soaking, let me know.
Of course I am not an expert with words but it seems to me there may be a fine line between humor and sarcasm intended to offend or hurt. Having been on the receiving end of sarcasm - it does not feel good. I don't think the comment made by the Utility Infielder about Mermaid was necessary.
In the words of a famous author:
Sometimes it's a good idea to "talk" to someone whom you know and trust before blowing off in public.
And there's always the Pamda mantra, "When in doubt, say nothing." I do that a lot.
Juliejoe--Pamda and Mermaid are friends and I'm sure both were laughing at each others comments-- no sarcasm intended or precieved-. I still think the strawberries were innocent-- unless they jumped into the bowls filled with chocolate and liquor themselves--
April-
nice to see a sence of humor on the boards- it always brightens my day
Thanks again for letting us/me chit chat here
Bob! You hit it exactly! The whole thing is really quite frightening in it's simulairity! "Kane" Munity indeed! Then there is the one item that pushed it over the edge, strawberries! ROTFLMAO!
Juliejoe, I have no doubt that Pamda and Mermaid have no problem with their teasing as they are close friends.

The "Kane" mutiny thing is just tooo funny!
I think the next get-together should have a strawberry theme instead of a phlamingo one!
Nice to see everyone here, and looking forward to getting to know new ones!
