I was born and raised in Trenton, NJ (any other Janet Evanovich/Stephanie Plum fans out there?). Went to American U. in DC for a couple of years and have been in Orlando FL since 1979--met my husband here and haven't missed the Northeast at all--okay--an occassional hankering for Maruca's pizza on the boardwalk in Seaside--just happen to be going for the 4th of July--and will take care of the craving.
Location: Greater Tampa Bay area (south of the BIG BRIDGE!)
Re: Now that u're here.. where u from?:)
Born "Inside the Beltway" (thanks for the description Pam), raised in Falls Church, VA, then on to parts of Maryland, Richmond, VA, Kill Devil Hills, NC (on the Outer Banks) and now residing in Bradenton, FL with husband Don who tolerates all of my shenanigans. Mgram
Hi Everyone and WELCOME!! It's great to see so many new smiling faces!
I'm Tim Rubacky, CM's Consumer Affairs Editor and all around problem solving, advice giving Guru. I guess I'm like the "Dear Abbey" of cruisng, but just much younger and much better looking! <Hint, I'm single and looking>
I'm originally from New Jersey but will be moving to the CruiseMates "Penthouse" in Greenwich Village NYC in the coming week. That way I'll be much closer to the CM Corporate HQ, have a much shorter commute and best of all, be so much closer to all the ships and the water during the summer!
Please do feel free to drop me an e-mail or a message on one of the boards if you need any help or advice in any way!
Well y'all, I was born and raised on the Mass/NH border but moved to NC when a teenager. Travel the world in the Navy and lived in San Diego for awhile before settling in SC where I retired in '85 and moved to Northeast Florida. Love it here in the Nations Oldest City. Also it is pretty close to the cruise ports <VBG> I too am one of the CM Staff and help watch the message boards and the chat and keep them going. If you ever have any suggestions, comments or anything e-mail me anytime. My bio and photo can be seen in the chat area where you can read all the hosts bios.

Texan here, from the central Texas area, close to Austin. Shhh, not native born, but I have been told that I taa-l-lk like one. Thankfully, I am quite close to the Highland lakes, and too far from the Gulf of Mexico. Hey, well, it's water.
I feel your pain. The only solution I know of to that problem is to find a single, goodlooking young man who is also interested in travel. If you find one, please give him my phone number or at the very least, find out if he has a brother!
Grew up in Ft. Lauderdale but have lived in Barstow, CA (what a place); Knoxville, TN; Denver, CO (wonderful place to live - I still miss the mountains!); and currently Franklin, TN (great place to live just outside of Nashville with all the country music stars & NASCAR drivers).
Here's to the next cruise!
How about Callaway, Maurice Carrie, Thornton, to name a few? We have about 13-14 winneries. Most people don't realize wine grapes are grown in So. Cal. Everyone thinks there is only 1 Wine Country in California, yours. I suppose you have hot air balloons there too? Come down here one of these days (maybe pre-cruise?) and try some of OUR wines!
Well you might say Kuki, my background is a little differrent. But different is good right??
Born in Bogota, Colombia (sorry don't know how to put the accents in when typing), moved to the Washington D.C. area when I was about 13 and I went through a culture shock. Then off to boarding school in Geneva, Switzerland. Travelled a great deal around Europe and then went to college. Got married, had children 16 and 18 now. That's about it.
Well that takes you up to the present. I'm sure I forgot some things along the way.
Born Springfield, Ohio; lived in North Muskegon, MI; went to Albion College, MI; and have lived in Phoenix, AZ about 35 years. And I don't know why I got so addicted to cruising -- I'm not even comfortable swimming!
Northwest Floridian here !!
Have resided in Pensacola for the past 20yrs--- home of the most beauuuuutiful white sandy beaches.
Grew up in a suburb of K.C. MO and not for one minute do I miss the winters!
