Default Rumpunch?

Anyone have any good rumpunch recipies (sp?)? Planning a couple of parties this summer, I'm sure it's probably easy, but just not finding anything. What DO they put in there (besides rum of course)?

Hi, Sprinkles ...

Go to google.com and type in

recipe rum punch

What time will the testing begin? Queeg is fond of rum punch. I can send him over.

Here's my favorite summer party recipe.

Beach Juice

Mix orange juice and tonic water 50:50

Add vodka, gin, or rum as desired. Garnish with lime wedge. Tastes great "straight", too.

Also go to <http://www.webtender.com/> and search for that one. They will have more than you will ever need -recipe wise.

I haven't personally tried this, but it sounds good!

Parrot Head. (With apologies to Jimmy Buffett)
1 1/2 oz white rum, 1/2 oz Tequila, Grapefruit juice, lime juice, gingerale.
Take a tall bar glass, add ice, pour in rum and tequila, fill glass 2/3 full of
gingerale, top off with equal parts grapefruit juice and lime juice.
Drink several and feel an overwhelming desire to wear bright shirts, khaki shorts,
and sing silly songs.

Wow, THANKS everyone, I don't know which one to try first, but I think we'll have fun tasting them all.

All of the above sound GREAT....but for a quick one I use OceanSpray Ruby Red Grapefruit/Mango juice with dark rum to taste (served on the rocks).....yummy. Note: I have been having trouble finding RubyRed Grapefruit/Mango so I use Ruby Red Grapefruit with a splash of mango juice.

On Barbados, a tour guide told us the following:
One of bitter
Two of Sweet
Three of Strong
Four of Weak

My "recipe" uses a glass (whatever size glass I'm drinking from) of pink grapefruit juice (bitter), a glass of orange juice (weak), a shot of grenadine (sweet-more or less to taste) and 4 shots of rum (strong). Mix in a pitcher and serve over ice - makes about 4 glasses.

If you can find it, Cockspur makes a premixed rum punch that is out of this world. Bought some in Barbados and would buy it by the case if I could find it stateside.

Let us know when your parties are!

We sure liked our "frozen fruit surprises" made with rum. Using 6-8 oz (white) rum, 1 tsp of Crystal Light (for extra flavor and variety) and fruit and juices from breakfast or lunch -- fill the blender with ice and you've got a wonderful healthy drink, !

We tried a variety of fruit/combinations -- pineapple, peaches, kiwi, banana.... Makes 2 huge insulated mugs worth of slushies.

One good recipe was 3 peach halves with 1 small glass orange juice -- a great Fuzzy Navel!

I like this because all you really need provide is the rum. The Crystal Light is optional and very very small; the white rum is easy to smuggle if you can't buy on board. Well, there is the rather bulky heavy blender....

But especially nice if you have a balcony and the sun is hot and YOU'RE THIRSTY!
