That's a hard question. I will choose my favorites from these categories:
Bottle Drink: Beer (various Mexican imports mostly-I live in Texas you know)
Hard Stuff: Rum or Crown Royal with a splash of coke
Foo-foo Drinks: Pina Colada
Sweeeet Drink: Tia Maria just over ice, or maybe with a drop of milk
Now there's a touch question. On land I'm not a drinker.. I sell the stuff, so it wouldn't be good to drink the profits <G>
But get me on a ship and I have to have Creamsciscles and BBCs.
for Paul.. BBC = Baileys, Banana and Colada mix.. if the sun is shining, just about the finest slush drink one could want. Excellent for we folks that rarely drink, cause they taste like Banana milkshakes.
BBC, Banana, Baily's Colada, first discovered by me and friends at Megan's Bar
tiki bar...the trick, make sure to tell the bar waiter you want it VERY thick and
sweet. We have tried various cruise lines, but find that Celebrity makes them the best. YUMMY!!
Normally I would say pina colada but the pina coladas on the Majesty were awful so I drank Rum swizzles, dark & stormies (ginger beer and dark rum), and mai tai's. I have to say that the BBC sounds fabulous - I will be trying that one on my next!
Ed & I will be heading for Maureen's shortly. Walking the boards up and taking the infamous Tramcar back. Will have one for you and the Cap'n. We will have to be careful to "watch the Tramcar, please".
So you like those BBC's, they are the best. Kuki here had me try my first one, and since then thats the only drink I purchase while cruising, especially good out by the pool. REally hits the spot!
A cold Coors light during a sunny afternoon on Lido Deck, a Cosmopolitan before dinner and a black Russian after.
Re: thanks for the great memories.. I used to spend my summer vacation in Wildwood Crest with my parents and still my sister and I will sometime say, out of the blue.. watch the tramcar please... but honestly, I thought they were saying watch the traincar please!
Hummm is it the drink or the glass-- Got sort of used to Cosmos/in a very large glass on the Millie--somehow they just dont taste the same back home. Still on the quest for the perfect margarita-- very good ones in Coz. and a place locally where I live. My heart has a special place for JD-- CA and I have that in commom-lol
Cheers to whatevers being served and to whoever is serving
A frozen grasshopper - really good on a hot day in the Caribbean. Celebrity made some really good ones - Princess didn't quite have it down.
Since Alaska is my new favorite sailing I will have to find a new drink - don't think a frozen drink tastes quite as good in cool weather! Maybe hot chocolate with Bailey's yum!
