Default Airfares are dropping

If you have booked your airfare yourself, check the airlines often to see if the fare has dropped. Mine did on Delta and they are sending me travel vouchers for the difference. If fares drop more, just call again and get back more $$. Delta was a pleasure to do business with.

Trip, it was a short window of opportunity--2 days worth. I checked the rates again today and they were way up in the stratosphere. Keep checking, you never know when that window will appear again.

I have never heard of an airline giving refunds after prices drop!! Is this something that only Delta does? I always thought it was tough luck if we booked farther in advance and the prices dropped afterwards. (???)

I know that American will give travel vouchers also if fares drop. Come to think of it, so does Northwest.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely ask for a travel voucher if our fares go down in the future on American!
